shall we again turn back to break Your commandments and intermarry with the people of these disgusting things? Would You not be angry with us until You had finished us, until there is no remnant or survivor?

And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, You have trespassed and have dwelt with foreign women, to increase the guilt of Israel.

For they have taken from their daughters for themselves, and for their sons. So the holy seed have mixed themselves with the people of the lands. Yes, the hand of the leaders and the overseers has been foremost in this treachery.

And now, for a little time grace has been shown from Jehovah our God to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in His holy place, so that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a little reviving in our bondage.

Did not your fathers do this, and did not our God bring all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by defiling the Sabbath.

You shall not cut a covenant for them and for their gods.

And now leave Me alone that My anger may be hot against them, that I may consume them. And I will make you a great nation.

Except Jehovah of Hosts had left a remnant for us, a few, we would be as Sodom; we would be as Gomorrah.

Have you forgotten the evilness of your fathers, and the evilness of the kings of Judah, and the evilness of his wives, and your own evilness, and the evilness of your wives, which they have done in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

You shall not fear, O Jacob My servant, a statement of Jehovah, for I am with you. For I will make a full end of all the nations there where I have banished you. But I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in judgment, and not acquit you and not leave you free of guilt.

Yet I will leave a remainder, so that may be left to you refugees of the sword among the nations, in your scattering among the lands.

Separate yourselves from the midst of this company, and I will consume them in a moment.

Get away from the midst of this company, and I shall consume them in a moment; and they fell on their faces.

After these things, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you have become well, sin no more that a worse thing not happen to you.

What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

Let Me alone that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under the heavens; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.

Even in Horeb you made Jehovah angry; and Jehovah breathed angrily against you, to destroy you.

And you, you shall cut no covenant with the ones living in this land. You shall break down their altars. Yet you have not listened to My voice. What is this you have done?
