Ezra 8:22

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

For I was ashamed to ask of the king troops and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God is on all those who seek Him for good; but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.

And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind. For Jehovah searches out all hearts, and He understands every imagination of thoughts. If you shall seek Him, He shall be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

And he went out before Asa, and said to him, Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. Jehovah is with you while you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

For the eyes of Jehovah go to and fro in all the earth in order to be strong for those with their heart perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this. so from now on there shall be wars with you.

And He has extended mercy to me before the king and his counselors, and before all the king’s mighty leaders. And I was made strong, as the hand of Jehovah my God was on me. And I gathered out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

this Ezra went up from Babylon. And he was a skilled scribe in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all he asked, according to the hand of Jehovah his God on him.

For on the first of the first month, he laid the foundation in order to go up from Babylon, and on the first of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of God on him.

And we pulled up from the river Ahava on the twelfth of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was on us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and ambushers along the way.

Then I came to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and gave them the king’s letters. And the king had sent army captains and horsemen with me.

They have bowed down and have fallen, but we have risen and stand upright.

Jehovah is redeeming the soul of His servants; and none of those who trust in Him shall be guilty.

Who knows the power of Your anger? And as Your fear is, so is Your fury.

Jehovah is good to those waiting on Him, to the soul seeking Him.

But we know that to the ones loving God all things work together for good, to the ones being called out ones according to purpose;

But I have not used one of these. And I do not write these things that it be so in me. For it is good to me rather to die than that anyone nullify my glorying.

Because if I have boasted anything to him about you, I was not ashamed. But as we spoke all things in truth to you, so also our boasting as to Titus became truth.

“But the just shall live by faith;” “and if he draws back,” “My soul is not well-pleased in him.” Hab. 2:4; Zeph. 1:6; Mal. 1:10

So says all the company of Jehovah, What is this unfaithful act with which this unfaithfulness to the God of Israel is done, to turn back today from after Jehovah, in that you built for yourself an altar so that you might rebel today against Jehovah?

when you transgress the covenant of Jehovah your God which He commanded you, and when you have gone and served other gods, and have bowed yourselves to them, then the anger of Jehovah shall glow against you; and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which He has given to you.

because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous ones, and His ears open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is on all doing evil things.” LXX-Psa. 33:13-17; MT-Psa. 34:12-16
