So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-slaves, and all Israel, lived in their cities. And when the seventh month came, the sons of Israel were in their cities.
And all the people gathered as one man into the plaza before the Water Gate. And they spoke to Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which Jehovah had commanded to Israel.
And they found written in the Law which Jehovah had commanded by Moses, that the sons of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
And it shall be for a never-ending statute, in the seventh month, in the tenth of the month, you shall humble yourself and do no work, the native, and the alien who is staying in your midst.
And according to a day continuing steadfastly with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food in great joy and simplicity of heart,
And of the multitude of those who believed, the heart and the soul were one. And no one said any of the possessions belonging to him to be his own, but all things were common to them.
Now I exhort you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you all say the same, and there be no schisms among you, but you be restored to harmony, in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose: In the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks and in the Feast of Tabernacles. And they shall not appear before Jehovah empty,
And all the sons of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and the land of Gilead, to Jehovah at Mizpeh.
