King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And he brought me into the inner court of the house of Jehovah. And, behold, at the opening of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of Jehovah, and their faces eastward. And they bowed themselves eastward to the sun.

For our fathers have acted unfaithfully and did the evil in the eyes of Jehovah our God, and they have forsaken Him and turned their faces away from the temple of Jehovah, and have given their backs.

And Solomon dedicated the middle of the court that was before the house of Jehovah; for he had offered there the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings; for the bronze altar that Solomon had made was not able to contain the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat.

saying to a tree, You are my father; and to a stone, You gave us birth. For they turned their back to Me, and not the face. But in the time of their evil, they will say, Arise, and save us!

And they have turned the back to Me, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

But doing we will do whatever thing goes out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings, and our rulers, in the cities of Judah and in the outside places of Jerusalem. And we were satisfied with food, and were well, and saw no evil thing.

The sons gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me.

And they shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of the heavens that they have loved, and that they have served, and after whom they have walked, and to which they have sought, and to which they have bowed themselves. They shall not be gathered or buried; they shall be dung on the face of the ground.

And the cherubs were standing on the right side of the house when he, the man, went in. And the cloud filled the inner court.

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the house of Jehovah, the gate which faces eastward. And, behold, at the opening of the gate were twenty-five men. And I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, so also you bear your wickedness and your adulteries.

And when they had slaughtered their sons to their idols, then they came into My sanctuary in that day to profane it. And, Behold, this they have done in the midst of My house.

And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. And he measured the south gate by these measures.

And he came to the gate which faced eastward, and he went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide, even the one threshold, one reed wide.

And the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner court. And, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the house!

In their putting of their threshold by My threshold, and their door post beside My door post, and the wall between Me and them, even they have defiled My holy name by their disgusting things that they have done. And I consumed them in My anger.

And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, and on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the gateposts of the inner court.

So says the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that faces the east shall be shut the six days of work. But on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

Make the chain, for the land is full of bloody judgments, and the city is full of violence.

And He said to me, Have you seen, son of man? Yet you turn back and you shall see greater abominations than these.

Let the priests, ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar; and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and do not give Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

and has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them; or the sun, or the moon, or of the host of the heavens, which I have not commanded;

and lest you lift up your eyes towards the heavens and see the sun, and the moon and the stars, all the host of the heavens, and you be drawn away and worship them, and serve them; which Jehovah your God has allotted to all the peoples under all the heavens.
