Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower, the glory of his beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of those smitten with wine!
Therefore, say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb cease, and they shall not use it again in Israel. However, say to them, The days draw near, and the matter of every vision.
And fire has gone out from a rod of her branches, it consumed her fruit, and there is not a strong rod in her to be a scepter to rule. It is a lament, and has become a lament.
It is sharpened in order to slaughter a slaughter. It is polished so that there may be a flash to it. Or shall we rejoice? You are despising the rod of My son, as if it were every tree.
And My eye shall not spare, and I will not have pity; I will put on you according to your ways and your disgusting things that are in your midst. And you shall know that I am Jehovah who strikes.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
And it happened on the next day, Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony, and, behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and put forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.
For when they say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes upon them, like the birth-pain to the one having babe in womb, and they shall not escape, not one.
