And the cherubs lifted their wings and rose up from the earth flowing out. When they went out, the wheels also were with them. And he stood at the door of the gate of the house of Jehovah, the eastern gate. And the glory of the God of Israel was over them from above.
And he came to the gate which faced eastward, and he went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide, even the one threshold, one reed wide.
And he finished measuring the inner house. And he brought me forth the way of the gate whose face is the way of the east, and measured round about and round about.
And Jehovah said to me, This gate shall be shut; it will not be opened. And a man shall not go in by it, because Jehovah, the God of Israel, has gone in by it; so it shall be shut.
So says the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that faces the east shall be shut the six days of work. But on the sabbath day it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
