For Jehovah comforts Zion. He comforts all her desolations, and He makes her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of singing praise.
And those who come of you shall build the wastes of old; you shall rear the foundations of generations and generations; and you shall be called, One repairing the breach, one restoring paths to live in.
And they shall build old ruins; they shall raise up old desolations of former ones; and they shall restore the waste cities, ruins of generations and generations.
And out of them shall go forth thanksgiving and the voice of those who are merry. And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few. I also will honor them, and they shall not be small.
So says Jehovah of Hosts, Again in this place which is a waste, not with man and also beast, and in all its cities shall be a home of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
And He said to me, Son of man, these bones are all the house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is perished; we are cut off to ourselves.
And say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from the midst of the nations, there where they have gone, and will gather them from round about, and will bring them into their own land.
And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one King shall be for a king to all of them. And they shall not be two nations still. And they will not be divided into two kingdoms any more.
And I will cut a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant it shall be with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and I will put My sanctuary in their midst forever.
So the Lord Jehovah says this: Now I will return the captivity of Jacob and will have mercy on all the house of Israel. And I will be jealous for My holy name.
And I will bring back the captivity of My people Israel. And they shall build the cities which are desolate and live in them. And they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of them. They shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
