behold, so I will bring on you awesome strangers of the nations. And they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and will defile your splendor.

You have made his brightness to cease and have hurled his throne to the ground.

Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. I have cast you to the ground. I will put you before kings, that they may see you.

So says the Lord Jehovah: I will make the multitude of Egypt cease by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

He and his people with him, awesome of the nations, shall be brought to ruin the land. And they shall draw their swords against Egypt and fill the lands with the pierced ones.

And aliens have cut him off, the fearful of the nations, and have left him. His branches have fallen on the mountains and in all the valleys, and his boughs have been broken in all the ravines of the land. And all the people of the land have gone from his shadow and have left him.

By the swords of the mighty I will make your host fall, by the fearful of the nations, all of them. And they shall spoil the pride of Egypt, and all its host shall be destroyed.

And I will make come the most evil of the nations, and they shall possess their houses. And I will make cease the pomp of the strong ones, and their holy places shall be defiled.

And after this I was seeing in the visions of the night. And, behold, the fourth beast was frightening and terrifying, and very strong! And to it were great iron teeth. It ate and crushed, and trampled what was left with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts which were before it; and to it were ten horns.

If a rams’ horn is blown in a city, will the people not tremble? And if there is a calamity in a city and Jehovah has not done it?
