When your wares went out from the seas, you satisfied many peoples. With the multitude of your wealth and your goods, you enriched the kings of the earth.
And say to Tyre, Oh you who dwell at the entrances of the sea, a merchant of the peoples for many isles, so says the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, you have said, I am perfect of beauty.
By the multitude of your trade, they filled your midst with violence, and you sinned. So I cast you defiled from the height of God, and I destroyed you, O covering cherub, from among the stones of fire.
And they threw dust on their heads, and cried out, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe! Woe to the great city, by which all the ones having ships in the sea were rich, from her costliness, because in one hour she was laid waste.
because of the wine of the anger of her fornication which all the nations have drunk, even the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her; and the merchants of the earth became rich from the power of her luxury.
