And parable a parable to the house of rebellion, and say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Set on the pot! Set it on, and also pour water in it.

And Elisha returned to Gilgal. And the famine was in the land. And the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said to his young man, Set on the big pot and boil soup for the sons of the prophets.

I will open my mouth in a parable; I will pour forth dark sayings of old,

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For Jehovah has spoken: I have lifted up and reared sons, but they have transgressed against Me.

And I will compress Ariel, and there shall be mourning and sorrow; and it shall be to Me as Ariel.

Woe to rebellious sons, a statement of Jehovah, to make counsel, but not from Me; and to weave a covering web, but not of My Spirit, in order to add sin on sin;

that this is a rebellious people, lying sons; sons who are not willing to hear the Law of Jehovah;

But they rebelled, and provoked His Holy Spirit, and He was turned to be their enemy; He fought against them.

And the Word of Jehovah was to me the second time, saying, What do you see? And I said, I see a pot being blown; and its face is from the face of the north.

And Jehovah said to me, Out of the north, evil will be set loose on all those living in the land.

This city shall not be for a pot to you, and you shall not be in its midst for flesh; but I will judge you in the border of Israel,

who say, It is not near, let us build houses; she is the pot, and we are the flesh.

So the Lord Jehovah says this: Your wounded ones whom you have set in her midst, they are the flesh, and she is the pot. But I will bring you forth out of her midst.

Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house. They have eyes to see, but they do not see; ears are to them to hear, but they do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.

For I, Jehovah, will speak. The Word which I shall speak shall be done, it shall not be drawn out again. For in your days, O house of rebellion, I will say the Word and will do it, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

Say now to the rebellious house, Do you not know what these mean? But speak, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem, and has taken its king and its rulers, and has brought them to himself at Babylon.

Son of man, put forth a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel.

And the Spirit entered into me as He spoke to me, and He made me stand on my feet, and I heard Him speaking to me.

And He said to me, Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to the nations, the ones rebelling who have rebelled against Me. They and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this day.

And they, whether they will hear or whether they will stop; for they are a rebellious house; yea, they shall know that a prophet has been among them.

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and of their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are with you, and though you are living among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, and do not be frightened by their faces, though they are a house of rebellion.

But you, son of man, hear what I am saying to you. Do not be like that rebellious house of rebellion. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving to you.

And I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! They are saying of me, Does he not speak in parables?

So the Lord Jehovah says this: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose rust is in it, and its rust has not gone out of it! Bring it out piece by piece. Let not a lot fall on it.

I have given your forehead to be as an adamant harder than flint. Do not fear them, and do not be frightened by their faces, though they are a house of rebellion.

In that day one shall lift up a parable against you and lament a lament of lamenting. He says, Devastating we shall be devastated. He has changed the portion of my people. How He has removed it for me! To the one turning back He has divided our fields.

And they sought to seize Him, and feared the crowd. For they knew that He spoke the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.

And He said, To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables, that seeing they might not see, and hearing, they might not understand. Isa. 6:9

Oh stiffnecked and uncircumcised ones in heart and in the ears! You always fall against the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, you also do.
