And it was in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth of the month, men came from the elders of Israel to inquire of Jehovah, and sat before me.

And Elisha said to the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother. And the king of Israel said to him, No, for Jehovah has called these three kings in order to give them into the hand of Moab.

And Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. And the king sent a man from before him. Before the messenger came to him, even he himself said to the elders, Do you see that this son of the murderer has sent this one to take away my head? Behold, when the messenger comes in, shut the door, and you shall hold him fast at the door. Is not the sound of the feet of his lord behind him?

And the Lord says, Because this people draws near with its mouth, and they honor Me with its lips; but its heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught the commandment by men;

Yet they seek Me day by day, and desire knowledge of My ways. As a nation that has done right, and not forsaking the judgment of their God, they ask of Me judgments of righteousness; they desire to draw near to God.

Inquire now of Jehovah for us. For Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is warring against us. Perhaps Jehovah will do with us according to all His wonderful works, that he may go up from us.

And Zedekiah the king sent and took him out. And the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there Word from Jehovah? And Jeremiah said, There is. For He said, You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth, and it does not concern You about anyone, for You do not look to the face of men.

And to this one was a sister being called Mary, who also was sitting alongside, at the feet of Jesus, and heard His Word.

And it happened after three days they found Him in the temple sitting in the midst of the teachers, even hearing them and questioning them.

And they went out to see the thing happening, and came to Jesus. And they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and of sound mind. And they were afraid.

Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealot of God, even as you all are today.
