And it happened, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, he sent to the king, saying, Why have you torn your garments? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
And the king sent Jehudi to take the roll. And he took it out of the room of Elishama the scribe. And Jehudi read it in the king’s ears, and in the ears of all the rulers who stood beside the king.
Say now to the rebellious house, Do you not know what these mean? But speak, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem, and has taken its king and its rulers, and has brought them to himself at Babylon.
And you, because you have warned the wicked one, and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his way, he, the wicked one, shall die in his iniquity. But you have delivered your soul.
And I will make your tongue cling to your palate, and you shall be mute. And there shall not be to them a reproving man; for they are a rebellious house.
But in My speaking with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah. He who hears, let him hear; and he who stops, let him stop. For they are a rebellious house.
But you, if you warn the wicked one from his way, to turn back from it, and he does not turn back from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
And you shall say to the rebellious ones, to the house of Israel, So says the Lord Jehovah: Enough to you, of all your disgusting things, O house of Israel,
But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, It was necessary for the Word of God to be spoken first to you; but since you indeed thrust it away and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the nations.
