Jehoahaz was a son of twenty-three years when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and the name of his mother was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

And the king of Egypt made his brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned about his name to Jehoiakim; and Necho took his brother Jehoahaz and brought him to Egypt.

Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in bronze fetters to take him away to Babylon.

So Jehovah says this concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, They shall not mourn for him, saying, Ah, my brother! Or, Ah, sister! They shall not mourn for him, saying, Ah, lord! Or, Ah, his glory!

And when she saw that she had waited, and her hope had been lost, even she took another of her cubs and made him a young lion.
