and has not oppressed a man. he returns his pledge to the debtor and has not robbed by robbery; he has given his bread to the hungry, and he has covered the naked one with clothing.

And also, I, my brothers and my servants are lending them silver and grain. Please leave off this interest.

For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and you have stripped the naked of their clothing.

they drive away the ass of orphans; they take the widow’s ox for a pledge;

They seize the orphan from the breast, and lay a pledge on afflicted ones.

Light rises in the darkness to the upright ones; he is gracious and full of pity, and of righteousness.

He has scattered; he has given to the needy ones; his righteousness is standing forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is the one acting wisely to the poor one; Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

If you lend money to my people, the poor one with you, you shall not be a creditor to him; you shall not put interest on him

If you indeed take the clothing of your neighbor as a pledge, you shall return it to him by the going of the sun,

And you shall not oppress a sojourner; and you know the life of a sojourner, since you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

One oppressing the poor one curses his Maker, but one honoring Him favors the needy one.

The one giving to one being poor shall not lack, but the one hiding his eyes shall have plenty of curses.

There is one who increases his wealth by interest and by usury, but one pitying the weak ones gathers it.

Do not be envious of the man of violence, and choose not among all his ways.

Learn to do good, seek justice, straighten the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.

He who walks righteously and speaks with uprightness; he who rejects the gain of oppressions, who shakes his palms free from taking the bribe, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil.

For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!

So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one plundered from the hand of the oppressing one. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence and not shed innocent blood in this place.

Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and her daughters. Also, she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy ones.

he has oppressed the poor and needy ones; plundering he plundered; he has not returned the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols; he has done abominations;

and has not oppressed a man, has not withheld the pledge, and plundering he has not plundered; he has given his bread to the hungry, and he has covered the naked ones with clothing,

His father, because he did extortion, plundering his brother by plunder, and did not do the good thing among his people, behold, even he shall die in his iniquity.

if the wicked one returns the pledge, he repays the thing stolen, he walks in the statutes of life, not doing iniquity, living he shall live; he shall not die.

Make the chain, for the land is full of bloody judgments, and the city is full of violence.

So, O king, let my counsel be pleasing to you: Even break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by pitying the humble one, whether there will be duration to your prosperity.

You shall not extort your neighbor, and not rob; you shall not allow the wages of a hired one to remain with you until morning.

You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; you shall not respect the person of the poor one, and not favor the person of the great one, but in righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

And if you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from the hand of your neighbor, you shall not each man oppress his brother.

So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn back from it, for they sold the righteous one for silver, and the needy one for a pair of sandals,

And they will stretch out beside every altar, and on garments taken in pledge. And they will drink wine of those being fined in the house of God.

For they do not know to do right, a statement of Jehovah, those storing up violence and destruction in their palaces.

Those who put away the evil day but bring near the seat of violence,

Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they do it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Those hating good and loving evil, who pull their skin off them, and their flesh from their bones;

And I will call to account all those leaping on the threshold in that day, who are filling the houses of their masters with violence and deceit.

And I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against those divining, and against ones doing adultery, and against those swearing to a lie; and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s pay; and turning away the widow, and the fatherless, and the sojourner, and the one not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

And answering, he says to them, The one that has two tunics, let him share with him that has not. And the one that has food, let him do the same.

You shall not pervert judgment of a sojourner, or of an orphan; and you shall not take a widow’s garment as pledge.
