Behold, they are all My souls. As the soul of the father, also the soul of the son; they are Mine. The soul that sins, it shall die.

But he did not cause to die the sons of those who struck him, as it is written in the book of the Law of Moses that Jehovah commanded, saying, The fathers not shall die for the sons, and the sons not shall die for the fathers, but each man shall die for his own sin.

His eyes shall see his ruin, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

If your sons have sinned against Him, and if He has sent them away in the hand of their transgression,

So says Jehovah God, creating the heavens and stretching them out; spreading out the earth and its produce, giving breath to the people on it, and spirit to those walking in it.

For I will not contend forever, and I will not always be angry, for the spirit would faint before Me, even the breaths I have made.

But every man will die in his iniquity. Every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be dull.

The soul that sins, it shall die. A son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and a father shall not bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous one shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked one shall be on him.

As I live, there is not any longer occasion to you to use this proverb in Israel, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

But a man that is a righteous one and does that which is just and right,

In My saying to the wicked one, Dying you shall die; and you do not warn him, and you do not speak to warn the wicked one from his wicked way, to save his life, he, the wicked one, shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.

When I say to the wicked one, O wicked one, dying you shall die! And you do not speak to warn the wicked one from his way, that wicked one shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood from your hand.

The fathers shall not die for sons, and sons shall not die for fathers; they each man shall die for his own sin.

Furthermore, indeed we have had fathers of our flesh as correctors, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits, and we shall live?
