But you are thrown from your grave like an abhorred branch, like the covering of the slain, those pierced by the sword, those who go down into the stones of the Pit, like a corpse trampled under foot.

But I will put it into the hand of those oppressing you, who have said to your soul, Bow down that we may cross, and, Put your back to the ground, and be as the street to those who cross.

And in all your abominations and your fornications you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were trodden down in your blood.

An eye did not have pity on you to do to you one of these, to have compassion on you. But you were thrown into the face of the field, with loathing of your soul in the day you were born.

As a myriad, as a field shoot, I have given you, and you are grown and are great. And you come in the ornament of ornaments. Your breasts are formed, and your hair is grown, yet you were naked and bare.

And my enemy shall see; and shame shall cover her, the one saying to me, Where is He, Jehovah your God? My eyes shall see her. Now she shall be for a trampling, as the mud of the streets.

You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what shall it be salted? For it has strength for nothing any more but to be thrown out and to be trampled under by men.

Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead ones will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.

For He said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I pity.” Ex. 33:19

Do not say in your heart, when Jehovah your God thrusts them out from before you, saying, Jehovah has brought me in to possess this land for my righteousness. But say, Jehovah dispossesses them from before you because of the wickedness of those nations.

How much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one having trampled the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of grace?

And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood went out of the winepress as far as the bridles of the horses, from a thousand six hundred stadia.
