Ezekiel 15:4

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Behold, it is put in the fire for fuel. The fire devours both its ends, and its middle is charred. Will it prosper for work?

It is burned with fire, cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your face.

And the strong one shall be for tow, and his work for a spark; and they shall burn both together; and no one shall quench them.

When its boughs dry up, they are broken off. Women shall come and kindle them, for it is not a people of discernment. On account of this his Maker will not pity him, and his Former will not favor him.

Shall wood be taken from it to do work? Or will men take from it for a peg to hang every vessel on it?

Behold, when it was whole it was not made for work. How much less when the fire has devoured it, and it is charred! Shall it yet be made to work?

Therefore, so says the Lord Jehovah: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, it which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give those living in Jerusalem.

And fire has gone out from a rod of her branches, it consumed her fruit, and there is not a strong rod in her to be a scepter to rule. It is a lament, and has become a lament.

I have overturned among you, as God overturned Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a firebrand snatched out of the burning; yet you have not returned to Me, a statement of Jehovah.

For, behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the arrogant and every doer of wickedness will be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of Hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them.

whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His threshing-floor and will gather His wheat into the storehouse. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

If not one abides in Me, he is cast out as the branch and is dried up; and they gather them, and they throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
