And it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
And the likeness of their faces: the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side to the four of them; and the face of an ox on the left to the four of them, and the face of an eagle to the four of them.
In their going on their four sides, they went. They did not turn in their going. For to the place where the head faces, after it they went. They did not turn in their going.
And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the house of Jehovah, the gate which faces eastward. And, behold, at the opening of the gate were twenty-five men. And I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
And the appearance of the vision which I saw was as the appearance which I saw when I came to destroy the city, and as the appearance that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.
Who is wise and discerns these things? Who is discerning and knows them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the righteous one shall walk in them; but those transgressing shall stumble in them.
