Exodus 32:12

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Why should the Egyptians say, For evil He has caused them to go up, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them on the face of the earth? Turn from Your fierce anger and be moved to pity as to the evil to Your people.

And Jehovah repented that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.

And now, if I have found favor in Your eyes, I pray, make me see Your ways, and let me know You, so that I may find favor in Your eyes, and see that this nation is Your people.

And there is not one who calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us, and have melted us away into the hand of our iniquities.

But now, Jehovah, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You are our Former; yea, we all are the work of Your hand.

So Jehovah says this, Behold, I send you away from the face of the earth. You shall die this year, because you have spoken apostasy against Jehovah.

But I worked for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations, of whom I brought them out, in their eyes.

Let the priests, ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar; and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and do not give Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

Who knows? He may turn, and God may be moved to pity and turn back from the anger of His face, that we will not perish.

I pray, forgive the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of Your mercy, and as You have gone with this people from Egypt, even until now.

Separate yourselves from the midst of this company, and I will consume them in a moment.

And not any of the cursed thing shall cling to your hand, so that Jehovah shall turn from the fierceness of His anger, and shall give mercies to you, and shall love you, and shall multiply you, as He has sworn to your fathers,

For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain.

lest the land from which You brought us say, Because Jehovah was not able to bring them into the land which was His Word to them; and, because He hated them, He has brought them out to make them die in the wilderness.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones to this day. And Jehovah turned back from the heat of His anger. On account of this, the name of that place is called The Valley of Grief until this day.

And the Canaanites, and all the ones living in the land shall hear, and shall come around against us, and shall cut off our name out of the earth. And what shall You do for Your great name?

For Jehovah will not abandon His people, for the sake of His great name. For Jehovah undertakes to make you a people for Himself.
