And Moses prayed before the face of Jehovah his God, and he said, Why, O Jehovah, does Your anger be hot against Your people whom You caused to go up from the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
And it happened, as he came near to the camp and saw the calf and dances, the anger of Moses was hot. And he threw the tablets from his hands, and he broke them below the mountain.
But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man does them even he will live by them. And they greatly profaned My sabbaths. And I said, I will pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to finish them.
For I was afraid because of the anger and the fury with which Jehovah had been angry against you, to destroy you. And Jehovah listened to me at this time also.
Confess to one another the deviations from the Law, and pray for one another, that you may be healed; being very strong, the prayer of a righteous one works effectually.
