When you lift up the head of the sons of Israel, of those numbered, each man shall give the ransom of his soul to Jehovah when numbering them; and there shall not be a plague among them when numbering them.

then let him be gracious to him and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom!
