You shall not run after many to gain evil things. And you shall not testify as to a lawsuit, to turn aside after many in order to pervert justice.

Your people He shall judge in righteousness, and Your humble one in justice.

My son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their path;

To lift up the face of the wicked one is not good, to thrust aside the righteous one in judgment.

Do not enter into the path of the wicked ones, and do not go straight in the way of evil ones

And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah and struck him, and they put him in the house of binding, in the house of Jonathan the scribe. For they had made it into a house of imprisonment.

And Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him a piece of bread out of the baker’s street daily, until all the bread of the city was gone. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison until the day Jerusalem was taken, and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.

My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have thrown into the pit. And he may die in his place because of the famine, for there is no more bread in the city.

And He said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and of Judah is very, very great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is full of perversity. For they say, Jehovah has forsaken the land; and, Jehovah does not see.

You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; you shall not respect the person of the poor one, and not favor the person of the great one, but in righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

Is it time for you, even you all to live in your covered houses, and this house to lie waste?

You shall not recognize persons in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid because of the face of a man, for the judgment is God’s; and the thing too hard for you, you shall bring near to me, and I will hear it.

You shall not pervert judgment. You shall not regard faces, and you shall not take a bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous ones.

You shall not pervert judgment of a sojourner, or of an orphan; and you shall not take a widow’s garment as pledge.

And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods whom your fathers served Beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the mouth of Jehovah and your word, because I feared the people, and I listened to their voice.

And Saul and the people had pity on Agag, and from the best of the flock, and of the herd, and the seconds, and the lambs, and all that was good, and were not willing to completely destroy them. But they completely destroyed every despised and worthless thing.
