Exodus 23:11

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And the seventh year you shall let it rest and let it alone, and the needy one of your people shall eat. And what they leave, the animals of the field shall eat. So you shall do to your vineyard, to your oliveyard.

And if the people of the land should bring goods or any food to sell on the Sabbath, we would not take from them on the Sabbath, or on the holy day. And they would forego the seventh year, and the interest of every hand.

Also, we made stand on ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

And you shall sow your land six years, and you shall gather its produce.

You shall do your work six days, and on the seventh day you shall rest, so that your ox and your ass may rest, and the son of your slave-girl and your sojourner may be refreshed.

And when you say, What shall we eat in the seventh year; for, lo, we may not sow nor gather our increase?

and you shall sow the eighth year, and shall eat of the old crop until the ninth year, until the coming in of its crop; you shall eat of the old.

Yea, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, and given us inheritance in fields and vineyards; will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!

For the needy one will not cease from the midst of the land. On account of this I am commanding you, saying, Opening you shall open your hand to your afflicted and needy brother in your land.
