Exodus 22:7

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

When a man gives silver or vessels to his neighbor to keep, and it is stolen from the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall repay double.

If finding the stolen thing is found in his hand alive, from ox to ass to flock animal, he shall pay double.

When a fire breaks out and finds thorns, and a stack of grain, or standing grain, or the field is burned up, repaying the one kindling the fire shall repay.

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their rulers, and their priests, and their prophets,

You shall not extort your neighbor, and not rob; you shall not allow the wages of a hired one to remain with you until morning.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

If any person sins and acts unfaithfully an unfaithful act against Jehovah, and deals falsely with his neighbor concerning a deposit, or concerning security, or by robbery, or has extorted his neighbor,

or all that about which he swore falsely, he shall even repay it in its principal, and the fifth part he shall add to it; to whomever it belongs. He shall give it on the day of his guilt offering.

But he said this, not that he was caring for the poor people, but that he was a thief and held the money bag and carried away the things being put in.

nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor rapacious ones shall inherit the kingdom of God.
