And he refused, and said to his master’s wife, Behold, my master does not know what is in the house with me, and all that he owns he has given into my hand.
an oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, that he has not put his hand to his neighbor’s goods. And its owner shall take it, and he shall not repay.
In every matter of transgression, for ox, for ass, for sheep, for clothing, for anything lost of which it is said that it is his, the case of both of them shall come to God. Whom God declares guilty, he shall repay double to his neighbor.
But he not knowing, and doing things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few. And everyone given much, much will be demanded from him. And to whom much was committed, more exceedingly they will ask of him.
For which cause I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit until that Day.
