You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his slave-girl, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which belongs to your neighbor.

There is one alone, and there is not a second; and there is not a son or a brother to him; and there is not an end to all his labor; even his eyes are not satisfied with riches; and he says, For whom do I labor, and my soul be without good? This is also vanity; yea, it is an evil task.

He who walks righteously and speaks with uprightness; he who rejects the gain of oppressions, who shakes his palms free from taking the bribe, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil.

For I was angry and struck him for the iniquity of his unjust gain; I hid Myself and was angry; yet he went, turning back in his heart’s way.

But your eyes and your heart lust for nothing but your unjust gain, and to shed innocent blood, and injury, and to do oppression.

They were like well fed, lustful stallions in the morning, each man neighing to the wife of his neighbor.

And they come to you as peoples come, and they sit before you as My people. And they hear your words, but they do not do them. For they produce much love with their mouth, but their heart goes after their unjust gain.

And they covet and seize fields and houses, and bear them off. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his possesion.

Woe to him gaining evil gain for his house, to set his nest in the height, to be snatched from the palm of evil!

Or is it not lawful for me to do what I desire with my things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?

But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

And He said to them, Beware, and be on guard from covetousness; for one’s life is not in the abundance of the things belonging of him.

And being lovers of money, the Pharisees also heard all these things; and they derided Him.

I have desired the silver, or gold, or clothing of no one.

Remaining, did it not remain yours? And being sold, was it not in your authority? Why is it you put this thing into your heart? You did not lie to men, but to God!

For, “Do not commit adultery,” “do not murder,” “do not steal,” do not bear false witness, “do not covet,” Ex. 20:13-15, 17 and if there is any other commandment, in this Word it is summed up, in the words, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Lev. 19:18

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin if not through law; for also I did not know lusting if not the law said, “You shall not lust.” Ex. 20:17

nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor rapacious ones shall inherit the kingdom of God.

But let not fornication, and all uncleanness, or greediness, be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

For be knowing this, that every fornicator, or unclean one, or covetous one, who is an idolater, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and not shall you desire your neighbor’s house, his field, and his male slave, and his female slave, his ox, and his ass, and anything which is your neighbor’s.

You shall burn the carved images of their gods with fire; and you shall not covet the silver and gold on them, and not shall you take it to yourself, that you not be snared by it; for it is a disgusting thing to Jehovah.

whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and who glory in their shame, the ones thinking earthly things.

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion; bad lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

Set your way of life without moneyloving, being satisfied with present things; for He has said, “Not I will leave you, not ever! Nor I will not forsake you, not ever!” Deut. 31:6

When I saw among the spoil a goodly robe of Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold, one of fifty shekels in weight, then I coveted them, and took them. And behold, they are hidden in the earth, in the middle of my tent, and the silver under it.

Behold, I am here! Testify against me before Jehovah and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, and whose ass have I taken, and whom have I oppressed? Whom have I crushed, and from whose hand have I taken a bribe that I might hide my eyes with it; and I will give back to you.

And why did you not listen to the voice of Jehovah? Yea, you flew on the plunder and did the evil in the eyes of Jehovah.
