And it happened during these many days that the king of Egypt died, and the sons of Israel groaned from the slavery. And they cried, and their cry went up to God from the slavery.

And the Angel of Jehovah said to her, Behold! You are with child and shall bear a son; and you shall call his name Ishmael, because Jehovah has listened to your affliction.

And He said, What have you done? The voice of the blood of your brother cries to Me from the ground.

And You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Sea of Reeds.

From the host of oppressions, they cry out; they cry because of the arm of the multitude.

A Prayer of the afflicted one, when he is faint and pours out his plea to Jehovah. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and let my cry come to You.

Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; stretch out Your ear to me in the day I call; answer me quickly.

For the pain of afflicted ones, for the sighing of the needy ones, I will now rise up, says Jehovah; I will set in safety; he pants for it.

In my distress I called on Jehovah and I cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry went before Him, into His ears.

And they made their lives bitter by hard service, in clay, and in bricks, and in all work in the field; all their work which they made them do with harshness.

And Jehovah said to Moses in Midian, Go! Return to Egypt. For all the men have died, those seeking your life.

And I also have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are enslaving. And I have remembered My covenant.

And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel. And they did not listen to Moses, from anguish of spirit and from hard bondage.

And Moses was a son of eighty years, and Aaron was a son of eighty-three years when they spoke to Pharaoh.

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of Hosts in the land of Egypt. For they shall cry to Jehovah because of those oppressing; and He shall send to them a savior, even a great one, and will save them.

For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!

And we cried to Jehovah, and He heard our voice, and sent a messenger, and is bringing us out of Egypt; and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border.

And forty years being fulfilled to him, the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire of a bush in the desert of Mount Sinai.

In the same day you shall give him his hire; do not let the sun go down on it. For he is an afflicted one, and has lifted up his soul on it; that he not cry against you to Jehovah, and it be sin against you.

Behold, the wages of the workmen having reaped your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of the ones having reaped have entered “into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.” Isa. 5:9

And the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, for he had nine hundred chariots of iron. And he oppressed the sons of Israel with force twenty years.

When Jacob came into Egypt, and your fathers cried to Jehovah, then Jehovah sent Moses and Aaron; and they brought your fathers out from Egypt and made them dwell in this place.

At this time tomorrow I will send to you a man out of the land of Benjamin. And you shall anoint him for the leader over My people Israel. And he shall save My people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen My people, for their cry has come to Me.
