And Pharaoh heard this word, and he sought to kill Moses. And Moses fled from before Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian. And he sat down by the well.

A prudent one sees the evil way and hides himself, but the ones of simplicity pass on and are punished.

I saw the tents of Cushan under iniquity; the curtains of the land of Midian trembled.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For truly I say to you, not will you have finished the cities of Israel, not until the Son of Man comes.

And Jacob’s well was there. Then being wearied by the journey, Jesus sat thus on the well. The hour was about the sixth.

“And Moses fled” at this word. “And he became an alien in the land of Midian,” where he fathered two sons. Exodus 2:15- 22

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he endured as seeing the Unseen One.
