for the drinking of the people quarreled with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said to them, Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you tempt Jehovah?

But Ahaz said, I will not ask, nor will I test Jehovah.

And now we are calling the arrogant blessed. Not only are the doers of wickedness built up, they also test God, and escape.

And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron. And all the congregation said to them, Oh that we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness, oh that we had died!

for all the men who are seeing My glory, and My signs which I have done in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tried Me these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,

And the people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul hates this light bread.

Jesus said to him, Again it has been written: “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” Deut. 6:16

And the younger of them said to the father, Father give me that part of the property falling to me. And he divided the living to them.

And answering, Jesus said to him, It has been said: “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” Deut. 6:16

Now, therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we had strength to bear?

And Peter said to her, Why was it that it was agreed with you to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of the ones burying your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.

Neither over-tempt the Christ, as some of them tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.

You shall not test Jehovah your God as you tested Him in Massah.

And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at The Graves of Lust you provoked Jehovah to anger.

there where your fathers tested Me, examining Me, and saw My works forty years.

And the thing was evil in Samuel’s eyes when they said, Give to us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed to Jehovah.
