Esther 8:5

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

and she said, If it is good to the king, and if I have found favor before him, and the thing is pleasing before the king, and I am good in his eyes, let it be written to cause to bring back the documents (a sly plot by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite) which he wrote to cause to perish the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she rose in grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins. And he set the royal crown on her head, and made her to rule instead of Vashti.

And let the young woman who is good in the eyes of the king rule instead of Vashti. And the thing was good in the eyes of the king, and he did so.

After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and lifted him up, and set his seat above all the rulers with him.

if I have found favor in the eyes of the king, and if it is good to the king to grant my petition and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I shall prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow according to the word of the king.

And Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favor in your eyes, O king, and it is good to the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.

And now, if I have found favor in Your eyes, I pray, make me see Your ways, and let me know You, so that I may find favor in Your eyes, and see that this nation is Your people.

And now by what can it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your eyes? Is it not in Your going with us? And we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the nations which are on the face of the earth?

And he said, Please send me away, for a family sacrifice is to us in the city, and my brother commanded me. And now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me be released, and to see my brothers. On account of this he has not come to the table of the king.
