Esther 7:9

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said before the king, Also, look! The wooden gallows which Haman made for Mordecai, who had spoken good toward the king, is standing at Haman’s house. And the king said, Hang him on it!

And he lifted his face to the window, and said, Who is with me? Who? And two or three eunuchs looked down to him.

In the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he said to Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who served before the face of Ahasuerus the king,

And his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, Make a wooden gallows fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak to the king and let them hang Mordecai on it; and go rejoicing in with the king to the banquet. And the thing was good in Haman’s eyes. And he caused the wooden gallows to be made.

And while they were still talking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived, and they hurried to bring Haman to the banquet which Esther had made ready.

And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigtha and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, the guards of the threshold, who sought to stretch forth a hand against King Ahasuerus.

And King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Haman’s house to Esther, and they have hanged him on the wooden gallows because he put forth his hand against the Jews.

And the king commanded it to be done so. And the order was given at Shushan, and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.

But when Esther came to the king, he commanded by the letter, Let this evil plot which he plotted against the Jews return on his own head; and they hanged him and his sons on the wooden gallows.

Let the wicked ones fall into their own nets at the same time; I even shall pass by.

Let destruction come on him; he will not know; and let his net which he hid capture him; let him fall in it, into destruction.

How they have become desolation in a moment, consumed with terrors!

And the king commanded, and they brought those men who had eaten the piece of Daniel. And they threw them into the lions’ den, them, their sons and their wives. And the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones before they reached to the bottom of the den.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects, and the satraps, the officials and the governors, have planned together to lift up a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except from you, O king, he shall be thrown into the den of lions.

And David ran and stood by the Philistine, and took his sword; and he drew it out of its sheath and caused him to die. And he cut off his head with it. And the Philistines saw that their warrior was dead, and they fled.
