And Haman went out that day joyful and good of heart. But when Haman saw Mordecai in the gate of the king, that he did not rise or move for him, he was full of fury against Mordecai.

And Ahab came into his house sullen and angry over the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken. For he had said, I will not give the inheritance of my fathers to you. And he lay on his bed and turned away his face, and would not eat food.

And he said to her, Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, Give me your vineyard for silver, or if you desire, I will give you a vineyard in its place. And he said, I will not give you my vineyard.

And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king’s gate.

And all the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate were kneeling and bowing down to Haman, for the king had so commanded for him. But Mordecai did not bow down and did not kneel.

And when Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing down and kneeling to him, then Haman was filled with fury.

Yet all this is no gain to me as long as I am seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.

that the exulting of the wicked ones is near an end, and the joy of the godless one is for a moment?

if the men of my tent did not say, Who can give; not being satisfied from his flesh?

In his eyes, the ones being refused have been despised, but he honors those who fear Jehovah: He that has sworn to his hurt, and will not change it.

If an army should camp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war rises against me, in this I am trusting.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in anger and wrath commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.

And you should not fear the ones killing the body, but not being able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him, the One being able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.

Woe to you, The ones having been filled, for you will hunger! Woe to you, The one laughing now, for you will mourn and lament!

Truly, truly, I say to you that you will weep and will lament, but the world will rejoice. And you will be grieved, but your grief will become joy.

And hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts and gnashed the teeth on him.

Be distressed, and mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy into shame.
