But Vashti the queen refused to come at the king’s command which was by the hand of his eunuchs. And the king was very angry, and his fury burned within him.
And Esther’s young women and her eunuchs came and told her. And the queen was exceedingly anguished. And she sent clothing to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him, but he did not accept.
