Esther 2:14King James 3 - The Literal TraslationShe goes in the evening, and on the morning she returns to the second house of the women, into the hand of Shaashgaz the king’s eunuch who kept the concubines. She does not come in to the king any more, unless the king delights in her, and she is called by name. See the chapter |
And when the turn of Esther had come (she being the daughter of Abihail, Mordecai’s uncle, whom he had taken to himself for his daughter) to go in to the king, she did not seek a thing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the keeper of the women, said. And Esther was rising in favor in the eyes of all who looked on her.
For all the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces knowing that any man or woman, shall come to the king into the inner court, who is not called, the one law of his is to die; except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter, and he shall live. But I have not been called to come to the king these thirty days.
