Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the darts of the evil one having been made fiery.

The name of Jehovah is a tower of strength; the righteous one runs into it and is set on high.

After these things the Word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, Do not fear, Abram; I am your shield, your reward will increase greatly.

Not that we rule over your faith, but we are fellow-workers of your joy. For by faith you stand.

Do not quench the Spirit.

Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of broom!

And You have given to me the shield of Your salvation; and You afflicted me to make me great.

yea, He has fitted for him instruments of death. He will make His arrows hotly pursue him.

But let your word be Yes, yes; No, no. For the excess of these is from the evil.

But we being of day should be sober, “having put on the breastplate” of faith and love, and the hope of “salvation as a helmet;” Isa. 59:17
