there was a little city, and few men in it. And a great king came against it, and turned around it, and built huge siege works against it.
And afterwards it happened that Benhadad the king of Syria gathered all his army and went up and laid siege to Samaria.
This wisdom I saw also under the sun, and it is great to me:
For the days will come on you, and hostile ones to you will raise up a rampart to you and will surround you and will keep you in on all sides,
Only the tree which you know not to be a fruit tree, you may destroy it, and may cut it down, and may build a bulwark against the city making war with you, until you have subdued it.
