I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever; nothing is to be added to it, and nothing is to diminish from it. For God does it so that they fear before Him.
For who knows what is good for man in this life, the number of the days of his life of vanity? Even he makes them like the shadow. For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
All things I have seen in the days of my vanity; there is a just one who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked one who prolongs his life in his evil.
Man is not a ruler over the spirit, to restrain the spirit; and not he has power in the day of death. And there is no discharge in that war, and wickedness shall not deliver its possessors.
So this iniquity shall be to you as a broken section falling, like the bulging out of a high wall, the breaking of which comes suddenly, in an instant.
There shall not still be a suckling of days, or an old man that has not filled his days. For the boy shall die the son of a hundred years, but the sinner the son of a hundred years shall be accursed.
They are not made contrite to this day, and they have not feared, and not they have walked in My Law, and not in My statutes which I gave before you and before your fathers.
And will come out, the ones having done good things, into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil things into a resurrection of judgment.
