Also all his days he eats in darkness, and with much grief, and with his sickness and wrath.

And He said to the man, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat from it, the ground shall be cursed because of you; you shall eat of it in pain all the days of your life.

And she said, As Jehovah your God lives, I do not have a cake, only a handful of meal in a pitcher, and a little oil in a jar; and behold, I am gathering two sticks and will go in and prepare for myself and for my son; and we shall eat it, and die.

And Ahaziah fell through the lattice-work in his upper room in Samaria, and was sick. And he sent messengers and said to them, Go, ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron if I will recover from this sickness.

And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king who sent you. And you shall say to him, So says Jehovah, Is it because there is not a God in Israel that you are sending to ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed on which you have gone up, for dying you shall die.

Yea, the leprosy of Naaman shall cleave to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from him as leprous as snow.

And this one dies with bitter soul, and never eats with pleasure;

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mingled my drink with weeping,

Being early to rise is in vain for you, being late to sit up to eat the bread of toils is vain; for so He gives His beloved sleep.

Surely a man walks about in shadow; surely they are in an uproar in vain; he heaps up and does not know who is gathering them.

and He ended their days in vanity, and their years in sudden terror.

And all that my eyes asked, I did not withdraw from them. I withheld not my heart from all joy; for my heart rejoiced from all my labor; and this was my portion from all my labor.

For all his days are pains, and his task is grief; his heart does not even lie down in the night. Even this also is vanity.

Is it not good that he should eat and drink and make his soul see good in his labor? This I also saw, that it was from the hand of God.

On the good day, be in good spirit, but also consider in the evil day, that God has made this one along with this one, so that man should not find anything after him.

And instantly an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give the glory to God. And having been eaten of worms, he breathed out his soul.
