I searched in my heart how to draw out my flesh with wine, and leading my heart in wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, until I might see where the good for the sons of men is, that which they should do under the heavens the number of days of their life.

And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my camps are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life and they have not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers, in the days of their camps.

If a man dies, will he live again?? All the days of my warfare I will wait, until my change comes.

Behold that which I have seen: It is good, it is beautiful, to eat and to drink and to see good in all his labor that the laborer does under the sun, the number of the days of his life which God gives to him, for it is his portion.

For who knows what is good for man in this life, the number of the days of his life of vanity? Even he makes them like the shadow. For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

It is good that you should take hold of this; yea, also from this do not let your hand rest; for he who fears God shall come forth with all of them.

And I turned my heart about, to know, and to search out, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, and the foolishness of madness:

Then I praised mirth, because nothing is good for man under the sun except to eat and to drink and to be glad. For that shall join with him in his labor for the days of his life which God gives him under the sun.

No one is able to serve two lords; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or he will cleave to the one, and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and wealth.

And “do not be drunk with wine,” in which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, Prov. 23:31

And the vine said to them, Should I cease from my new wine, which rejoices God and men, and go to hold sway over the trees?

And Abigail came to Nabal. And, behold, to him was a feast in his house, like the feast of the king. And Nabal’s heart felt good within him, and he was drunk until excess. And she did not report to him a word, more or less, until the light of the morning.
