When there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with success, yet he shall give it to a man who has not labored with it, for his share; this also is vanity and a great evil.

And he did the right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in the ways of his father David, and did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

And there had not been a Passover performed like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; yea, none of the kings of Israel performed such a Passover as Josiah performed, and the priests, and the Levites and all Judah and Israel who were found, and those living in Jerusalem.

And now what do I await, Lord? My hope is in You.

For he sees wise men die; together the fool and the animal-like ones perish and leave their riches to others.

Their inward thought is that their houses shall last forever, their dwellingplaces to generation and generation; they call their lands after their own names.

And I considered all labor, and every advantage of the work, that it is the envy of a man against his neighbor; this is also vanity and striving after wind.

There is one alone, and there is not a second; and there is not a son or a brother to him; and there is not an end to all his labor; even his eyes are not satisfied with riches; and he says, For whom do I labor, and my soul be without good? This is also vanity; yea, it is an evil task.

Wisdom is better than weapons of conflict; but one sinner destroys much good.

Do you reign because you lust to excel in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well for him.

But your eyes and your heart lust for nothing but your unjust gain, and to shed innocent blood, and injury, and to do oppression.
