And I turned to consider wisdom, and madness, and folly. For what can a man do who comes after the king, when they have already done it?
And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness, and folly. I know that this also, it is striving after wind.
That which has been, it already is; and that which is to be, it already has been. And God seeks that which is pursued.
And I turned my heart about, to know, and to search out, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, and the foolishness of madness:
