and when Jehovah your God shall give them up before you, and you strike them, then you shall utterly destroy them; you shall not cut a covenant with them, and not show mercy to them;

then you shall dispossess all the ones living in the land from before you, and destroy all their engraved images; yea, you shall destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places.

you shall not consent to him, and not listen to him, and not shall your eye have pity on him, and not shall you spare, and not shall you hide him.

But killing you shall kill him; your hand shall be first upon him to cause him to die, and the hand of all the people last.

Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall consume the innocent blood from Israel, and it shall be well with you.

And Jehovah our God gave him up before us, and we struck him and his sons, and all his people.

And we captured all his cities at that time, and completely destroyed every city, men and women and little ones. We did not leave a survivor.

For Jehovah your God walks in the middle of your camp to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you. And it shall be, your camp shall be holy, so that He may see no unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

then you shall cut off her palm; your eye shall not pity.

And Jehovah our God also gave Og the king of Bashan into our hands, and all his people. And we struck him until not one survivor was left to him.

And Jehovah gave Lachish into the hand of Israel, and he captured it on the second day, and struck it by the mouth of the sword, and every person in it, according to all that he did to Libnah.

And Joshua struck all the land: the heights and the Negeb, and the Lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings; he did not leave a survivor, but he destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded.

And Joshua captured all these kings in their land at one time, for Jehovah the God of Israel fought for Israel.

And Jehovah gave them into Israel’s hand, and they struck them, and pursued them to the great Sidon, and to the burning waters, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward. And they struck them until they did not leave a survivor to them.

And the men said to her, Our life instead of yours, if you do not tell this matter of ours, then it shall be, when Jehovah gives this land to us that we shall deal with you in kindness and truth.

And they answered Joshua and said, Because it was certainly told to your servants what Jehovah your God commanded His servant Moses, to give you all the land, and to destroy all the ones living in the land before you; and we were greatly afraid for ourselves, because of you. And we did this thing.

And the men of Israel said to the Hivites, Perhaps you are living in our midst, and how shall we cut a covenant with you?

And those keeping watch saw a man coming out from the city and said to him, Let us see the entrance of the city, and we will do kindness with you.

And Judah went up, and Jehovah delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand. And they struck them in Bezek, ten thousand men.

And you, you shall cut no covenant with the ones living in this land. You shall break down their altars. Yet you have not listened to My voice. What is this you have done?
