Deuteronomy 22:1

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep driven away, and hide yourself from them. Turning you shall turn them back to your brother.

Do not forsake your friend, and your father’s friend, and do not go into your brother’s house in the day of your calamity, for a near neighbor is better than a brother at a distance.

The one giving to one being poor shall not lack, but the one hiding his eyes shall have plenty of curses.

Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, that you should bring the wandering poor ones to your house? When will you see the naked ones and cover him, and you will not hide yourself from your flesh?

And I will wait for Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him.

I will seek the lost, and I will return the banished. And I will bind up the broken, and I will make the weak strong. But I will destroy the fat and the strong, I will feed them with judgment.

And if hiding the people of the land hide their eyes from that man, as he gives his seed to Molech, so as not to cause him to die,

or has found a lost thing and has lied about it, and has sworn on a falsehood on any one of all these which a man does, sinning in them,

So says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and practice kindness and pity, each man with his brother.

But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

For it has been written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox threshing grain.” Deut. 25:4 Not that it matters to God for the oxen, is it?

And if your brother is not near you, and you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to the middle of your house; and it shall be with you until your brother seeks it; and you shall restore it to him.

For you were “straying sheep,” Isa. 53:4-6 but now you are turned back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
