Do not forsake your friend, and your father’s friend, and do not go into your brother’s house in the day of your calamity, for a near neighbor is better than a brother at a distance.
Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, that you should bring the wandering poor ones to your house? When will you see the naked ones and cover him, and you will not hide yourself from your flesh?
I will seek the lost, and I will return the banished. And I will bind up the broken, and I will make the weak strong. But I will destroy the fat and the strong, I will feed them with judgment.
You have not made the weak strong; and you have not healed the sick, and you have not bound up the broken. And the banished have not been brought back, and you have not sought the lost, but you rule them with force and with harshness.
And if your brother is not near you, and you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to the middle of your house; and it shall be with you until your brother seeks it; and you shall restore it to him.
