and you have seen in the captivity a woman of beautiful form, and you desire her, even to take her to you for a wife,

And his soul clung to Dinah, the daughter of Jacob. And he loved the girl, and spoke to the heart of the girl.

And Hamor spoke with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem’s has longed for your daughter. Please give her to him for a wife.

The sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were good, and they took wives for themselves from all those whom they chose.

Who can find a woman of virtue? For her value is far above jewels.

Charm may be deceitful, and beauty vanity, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised.

Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, and do not let her take you with her eyelids,

And you shall keep alive for yourselves all the female children who have not known a man by lying with a male.

When you go out to battle against your enemies, and Jehovah your God has given them into your hands, and you have taken them captive;

and you shall bring her into the midst of your household, and she shall shave her head, and do her nails,
