And I saw in the vision, and it happened in my seeing that I was at Shushan, the palace, which is in the province of Elam. And in a vision I saw, and I was by the Ulai Canal.
And it happened, when the king’s command and his order was heard, and when many young women had been gathered to Shushan the palace, into the hand of Hegai, Esther was taken into the king’s house, into the hand of Hegai, keeper of the women.
The runners went out, being burned by the king’s word. And the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink. But the city, Shushan, was perplexed.
And Mordecai went out from before the king in apparel of the kingdom, of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple. And the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.
And the Jews who were in Shushan also assembled on the fourteenth day of the month Adar and killed three hundred men at Shushan; but they did not lay their hands on the plunder.
And it shall be in that day, the Lord shall add His hand, the second time, to possess the remnant of His people that remains, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coasts of the sea.
A harsh vision is revealed to me; the one betraying betrays, and the one ravaging ravages. Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! I have caused all her sighing to cease.
And it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave, all of them pierced ones, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised into the earth’s lowest parts, who gave their terror in the land of the living. Yet they bore their shame with those going down to the Pit.
And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the hand of the great river, and I lifted up my eyes and saw; and behold, a certain man was clothed in linen, whose loins were wrapped in fine gold from Uphaz;
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw. And behold! A ram was standing before the canal, and to it were two horns. And the two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.
And so I saw in the vision the horses, and the ones sitting on them, having fiery red breastplates, and hyacinth blue and sulfur-like yellow; and the heads of the horses as heads of lions; and out of their mouths come fire and smoke and brimstone.
