Daniel 6:7

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects, and the satraps, the officials and the governors, have planned together to lift up a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except from you, O king, he shall be thrown into the den of lions.

The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His Anointed One, saying,

For behold, they lie in wait for my soul, mighty ones gather against me; not for my transgression, and not for my sin, O Jehovah.

And You, O Jehovah God of Hosts, the God of Israel: Awake to call all the nations to account; do not favor any acting treacherously. Selah.

And whoever does not fall down and do homage, he should be thrown into the middle of a furnace of burning fire.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges and the magistrates. And all the officials of the provinces were ordered to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s officials gathered. And they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power, and the hair of their head was not singed, and their slippers were not changed, and the smell of fire did not cling on them.

And whoever does not fall down and do homage, at that moment they will be thrown into the midst of a furnace of burning fire.

And the king commanded. And they brought Daniel, and they cast him into the lions’ den. The king spoke and said to Daniel, Your God whom you constantly serve will deliver you.

My God has sent His angel, and He has shut the mouths of the lions. And they have not harmed me, because in His sight innocence was found in me. And also before you, O king, I have done no harm.

My people, remember now what Balak, king of Moab, planned; and what Balaam, the son of Beor, answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, so that you may know the righteousnesses of Jehovah.

The lion tears in pieces, enough for his cubs, and strangles for his lionesses, and has filled his holes with prey, even his lairs with torn prey.

But as they were leaving, the Pharisees took up a council against Him, how they might destroy Him.

And they plotted together in order that they might seize Jesus by deceit and kill Him.

And immediately in the early morning, the chief priests with the elders and scribes and all the sanhedrin having made a council, having bound Jesus, they led Him away and gave Him over to Pilate.

But the chief priests took counsel that they might kill Lazarus also,
