because a surpassing spirit, and knowledge, and insight in interpreting of dreams, and declaring of riddles , and the loosening of knots, were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the meaning.

Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream is to those who hate you, and its meaning is to your enemies.

I have even heard of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and light, and surpassing wisdom, and understanding are found in you.

And I have heard of you, that you can interpret meanings, and loosen knots. Now if you can read the writing and reveal its meaning to me, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck, and you will rule third in the kingdom.

Daniel 6:3

Then this Daniel was excelling above the presidents and satraps, because a surpassing spirit was in him. And the king was planning to set him over all the kingdom.

Daniel 6:4

Then the presidents and satraps were seeking to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom. But they were not able to find occasion or fault because he was trustworthy. And not any error or fault was found in him.
