King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Then the king made Daniel great and gave many great gifts to him. And he made him ruler over all the province of Babylon, and chief of the prefects over all the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel 3:1

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold whose height was sixty cubits; its breadth, six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

There are men, Jewish men, whom you have set over the business of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men do not fix attention on you, O king, on your decree They do not serve your gods, not doing homage to the golden image which you have set up.

Then the king made Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego prosper in the province of Babylon.

And I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the meaning of the dream.

O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret constrains you, speak to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its meaning.

Daniel 5:11

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom was found in him, like the wisdom of the gods. Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, your father the king, appointed him chief of the magicians, conjurers, Chaldeans and those determining.

Daniel 5:16

And I have heard of you, that you can interpret meanings, and loosen knots. Now if you can read the writing and reveal its meaning to me, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck, and you will rule third in the kingdom.

Daniel 5:29

Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and a chain of gold around his neck. And they proclaimed over him, that he was the third ruler in the kingdom.

Daniel 5:7

The king cried with strength to bring in the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and those determining. The king answered and said to the wise men of Babylon, Any man who can read this writing and reveal its meaning shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold around his neck. And he shall rule third in the kingdom.

And I, Daniel, was sick. And I was sick for days. And I arose and did the king’s business. And I was amazed at the vision; but there was no understanding.
