Daniel answered before the king and said, The secret which the king has asked the wise men, the conjurers, the magicians, or those determining, not are able to interpret to the king.
And they said to him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is not one to interpret. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? Now tell it to me.
And it happened in the morning, his spirit was troubled. And he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all its wise men. And Pharaoh told them his dream, and there was no interpreter of them to Pharaoh.
And the spirit of the Egyptians shall be empty in its midst; and I will swallow its counsel. And they shall seek to idols, and to the enchanters, and to the mediums, and to the spirit-knowers.
Who would not fear You, O King of nations? For it is fitting to You, because there is none like You among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms.
And in any matter of wisdom and understanding that the king asked from them, he found them ten hands better than all the magicians and the conjurers who were in all his kingdom.
And the king said to call to the magicians, and to the conjurers, and to the sorcerers and to the Chaldeans, to declare to the king his dreams. And they came and stood before the king.
Then the magicians, the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and those determining came in. And I told the dream before them, but they did not make its meaning known to me.
