If a rams’ horn is blown in a city, will the people not tremble? And if there is a calamity in a city and Jehovah has not done it?

And you, you intended evil against me, but God meant it for good, in order to make it as it is this day, to keep a great many people alive.

While he was speaking with them, then, behold, the messenger came down to him. And he said, Behold, this is the evil from Jehovah. Why should I wait for Jehovah any more?

O sons of Benjamin take refuge from the midst of Jerusalem. And blow the rams’ horn in Tekoa; and set up a signal over Beth-haccerem. For evil looks down out of the north, and a great shattering.

and when he sees the sword coming on the land, and he blows the rams’ horn and warns the people,

Blow a rams’ horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah. Cry aloud, Beth-aven; after you, O Benjamin.

Will a bird fall into a trap on the ground, and there is no bait for it? Will a trap spring up from the ground, and it catches nothing at all?

Therefore knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, and we have been made known to God; and I also hope to have been known in your consciences.
